Application and Examination Process

1. Fill out all areas of the ARMRIT MRI Technologist Examination Application completely. AN INCOMPLETE APPLICATION WILL BE RETURNED.
2. Pay the Non-refundable Application Fee of $300 by check, money order or credit card.
3. Include all necessary documentation such as; resume (CV), diplomas, certificates, notarized and recommendation letters.
4. Evaluation of foreign education (if applicable). See page 13 for acceptable agencies.
5. Send all documentation to ARMRIT. (Address below)
6. Once all documentation is received and reviewed the Applicant will receive either an ‘Application Review Letter’ or a ‘Letter of Authorization’.
7. An ‘Application Review Letter’ informs the Applicant to provide required documents that were not included in their application package.
8. The ‘Letter of Authorization’ allows the Candidate to make an appointment with PSI Exams On-line and sit for the exam (all 3 parts) within *forty-five (45) days of the date of the Letter of Authorization. PSI testing fees are separate.
9. Upon completion, you will receive a score sheet from PSI. Immediately fax the result sheet to the ARMRIT: 718-347-8691.
10. If all three sections are passed, a certificate and ID card will be processed and mailed.
11. If any sections were failed, a retake application will be sent and must be filled out and sent to the Registry, with fees, within thirty (30) days of the date of the result sheet.
12. Maximum attempts to pass all three sections are three (3). Failure to pass in three (3) attempts requires the candidate to enroll in a MRI review class or MRI program and start the application process from the start.

* A CANDIDATE WHO FAILS TO SIT WITHIN THE 45 DAY PERIOD MUST START THE APPLICATION PROCESS AGAIN! NO EXCEPTIONS!
